JPK 48 FC
The JPK 48 FC, the (to be announced) successor of the JPK 45 FC is an ocean-going sailboat designed for long, fast, and safe cruising. It combines a balanced hull, reinforced structure, and bright interiors to adapt to all latitudes.
The JPK 48 “Fast Cruiser”: sailing fast for travel far
The starting point of the project: the design of the hull, naturally entrusted to Jacques Valer, the shipyard's long-standing architect. Whether racing or cruising sailboats, his creations share the same marine DNA: boats that are comfortable at sea, stable, and perfectly balanced.
When cruising, even if you prefer downwind sailing, it is essential to be able to sail comfortably and efficiently upwind. A return trip across the Atlantic, for example, often takes place with a headwind: if the hull design is too open or if the construction does not allow for a good ballast ratio, the cruise can quickly turn into a nightmare.
Both downwind and reaching, the boat is expected to remain balanced, stable, and planing. It must be able to maintain high average speeds without overly demanding the pilot or helmsman, who can also enjoy the thrills.

Designing the ideal cruising boat is a subjective endeavour..… but for most of them, expectations are ultimately similar: a robust boat, with a strength close to that of aluminium; a safe boat with high performance and stability in all conditions; finally, on deck, ergonomics promoting good protection for the crew, secure manoeuvring positions and high-quality, well-sized deck fittings.

The fundamentals of the JPK's pinnacle cruiser remain unchanges for 48 FC:
-
A perfectly balanced hull , for constant performance and stability at sea;
-
An ultra-robust construction , designed to last and withstand all conditions: a real safe;
-
A double keel version (short or long) depending on the program envisaged, with equivalent stability in both cases;
-
A modern, bright and warm interior layout , designed to offer real comfort on board, both in warm latitudes and in cooler climates;
-
Reliable equipment : engine, fittings, pumps, refrigerator, etc. are chosen for their solidity and ease of maintenance;
-
Finally, a neat aesthetic , because “it doesn’t cost more to make it look pretty”!

Ocean Racing Heritage
Designed with ocean racing in mind, the deck plan offers particularly careful manoeuvring ergonomics. Mast storage and hoisting options for jib and spinnaker and ability to handle all control lines from raised winch consoles in the cockpit

Reliable
The infusion process allows the entire hull and its structure to be vacuum-laminated in a single operation, which guarantees total homogeneity. The composite thus implemented allows for the creation of truly "safe" constructions.
